I know what you say Donut, but the rest of the world has a knockout/ round robin qualifier, where the team is fine tuned over a year against your peers and then the best teams qualify.

Our system is to beat teams like American samoa 40-0 with an amature team. Because the big teams in europe, with fifa blessing, give our players a hard time if they want to come over. Then when we finish top of our group *or NZ * we get to play one team like Argentina who finish 5th in there qualifier, with our full team who do not know even each other

I'm sorry Donut but until it becomes a world cup then it will always be only the Seventh most important sport down under. Cricket, netball, Oz rules, Rugby league, Basketball, and even Rugby beating it hands down.

It's a corupt sport at the highest level. And until 3/4 of the world let the other 1/4 play it will remain a game played in the park on sundays by schoolkids.
