Yay, finally got myself a laptop!!!!! Its awesome!! I love it!!! erm yeah, that about it, I never thought I would even be able to play games on it
I loaded up Worms 3d (first thing I saw) and it was (Very slightly) choppyat some parts And I even decided to install Breed to see how that would go
I could fire the Ubergun whilst the ship flies arounf that radar island on the first level, then we landed and it was un bearable, so I did what all inteligent people should do..Installed the Omega drivers!!!! and the game runs prefectly as do most, which im happy with
Just thought id let you all know, and ask if there are any tips I should take into mind when it comes to laptop caretaking...
I used to have a pentium 133 ages ago but the fan dies and parts on the motherboard literally melted

Oh, for those who care, its a Dell Latitude D600
1.6 Centrino Pentuim M
512MB RAM
Radeon 9000 mobile
60Gig HDD
DVD/CD-RW
and many other cool features, the main one being that I actualy connect at 52Kb/s...dont laugh my Desktop connects at 33Kb/s...So it looks like im playing EFU on this beast...When I get HOTU....

Nice I'm hoping to get a laptop soon. Just have to settle in to the house repayments and put some money away for it.

Nice Laptop!

Happy Laptop, HT!!! The hubby and I want to get one someday but right now we have a new car to buy and an anniversary trip to save for so I think that's gonna wait a while. I'll just vicariously enjoy laptop ownership through you!

LOL @ that Sigmar...Hey, Hive...what are you gonna name it? Mine's "Lappy de Muerte" and I'm quite pleased with it, though the graphics card and hdd are lagging a bit behind yours.

It's a Radeon IGP 345, I'm pretty sure, which is enough to run old-school games and newer games that don't push the envelope too much...

Runs Counter Strike Condition Zero, Unreal Tournament (the original), and BGII well enough, though Morrowind is STILL a little bit beyond it.

It runs it, true, but it also will run KoTOR and NWN...but by "run," I mean lag me to death unless I set all the options all the way down.
