I had to reinstall Spybot S&D and the newer Spybot does not have all the functions that it used to have on it that allowed me to do alot of stuff for my PC, but one of the things that it did do for me is show me these IE exploits. I found this link that talked about them. I just wanted to share with you PC saavy peoples.

I noticed the difference, too, but I found that the new version places a shortcut to the easy version of SpyBot on your desktop. If you'll look in the folder in the start menu, you'll find the link for the advanced version.
Thanks for the link. [ 10-20-2003, 06:50 AM: Message edited by: Ronn_Bman ]

Can one remove these exploits? They are in red, and are checked for removal...does that mean that I can delete them? Please advise.

An exploit is a bug in a legit program than can be used to access your computer in ways the program designers did not intend and/or without going through proper authorisation. The particular one you list is a method for any webpage to run any command on your computer with no restrictions.
You can't remove them as such, but applying security patches will close them down as microsoft finds solutions, which isnt always as easy as you might think since simply closing down the exploit might prevent legitamate uses of those functions. I dont know if spybot can apply those patches itself. Running windows update should list the ones you dont have.
