Oblivion not comming until 2006 WAAAAAAHHH

Well this really sucks!!! not comming until 2006 I hope that doesn't meen as late as mid to end of winter 2006.

If those of you remember ES III Morrowind was suspose to hit the shelves on Dec 15, 2001. Then the company did a start to end play through in november and found out they needed to fix a number of glitches and bugs so they changed the release date to feb 2002. Then in the middle of janurary they said march 30th but by feb 15th they said they would have the game out by the 28th of april. On April 8th 2002 The offical anouncement came that the game was going gold and would be on the shelves May 2nd. On the 2nd of may 2002 at 12:45 PM I got my collectors edition at the game stop (I still have the recept) only 5 months and 17 days later than when everybody thought the game would be out. I hope this doesn't happen again.

From what my friend at bethesda says. "the Boss desided to add a bunch of stuff back into the game that they thought wasn't needed. The aditional content is really good and will make the game well worth the extra wait most of which is tweeking things to work more smoothly in both verisons PC & X-Box".

There are other reasons that he can't say except that if the game isn't great by the bosses view and his super high standards it just doesn't get released until he feels it meets those standards.
Bethesda Softworks is going to start putting out weekly reports or at least by weekly soon to keep everybody more up to date on how things are comming.

I just hope that it doesn't take until next spring before it finally hits the stores. I'm really hopeing for Janurary and not May again!

I agree. It'd be nice if a game company stuck to their initial release dates more often than it seems to be happening. That said, i don't want them to release it until they feel it's up to their level of standard. But Beth is good for that.

Eh like it was said in the other thread, I think its well worth the wait. Its not even that long of a wait when you think about it.

Well, that's an ambiguous post, there, SpiritWarrior...

I'll wait...I'll have more money, then, anyways. Too bad, though...Hosscat (my computer) was made with the idea of playing Oblivion on it, and playing it well.

I'm really itching for some non-mmorpg rpg games, though, and I don't really feel like installing BG again. Oh well, I'll just have to beat KOTOR I & II, Neverwinter Nights, and Morrowind, now.
