Daedric Shrines

1) Is there a way to get quests from all the daedra shrines does anyone know? is it something to do with the offerings?

2) when you take the offerings and get attacked by the dremora lords are you messing potential chance of a quest up (how can i resist all those rubies and diamonds)

3)Are some shrines only activated when you perform certain tasks or speak to certain people?

does anyone actually know for sure the answers to these questions? (barring the developers though their input would be great [img]tongue.gif[/img] )

i found so many scattered about and i cant believe only 4 or 5 of them are working.

1 & 2)I had posted the same question some time ago. Now I have found the answer.
Loot whatever you want, and kill those annoying Dremoras whenever you like. If the statue is a talking one, she won't mind. (I just tried with Mehunes Dagon)

2)Shrines aren't related to quests, with the only exception of one, in which you find the mask of Clavicus Vile. That item is linked to one legion quest.
But since the mask is more than worthy, I doubt you will throw it away and spoil the quest by losing it.

3)No. Just poke the statue.
One exception only, Mephala, which is activated only after a quest (see link below). If you are a big time looter, finding the quest starter might not be so difficult.

As to the total number, I have found eight so far... well, found is not the right word - I cheated a bit [img]graemlins/happyteeth.gif[/img] ( http://m0use.net/~uesp/morrow/quest/morquest.shtml ) to find the last two of them (Boethiah and Mephala) which were all but obvious.

Eight shrines = one per Daedra prince... that makes sense

i found more than 8 shrines with statues in them but im not sure which are the daedric ones or not, not many activate, but yeah im a big time looter, i looted my own stronghold [img]smile.gif[/img] i have resisted the temptation to take alot of those jewels though, well if none of it is particularly quest related im gonna go kick some behinds and steal everything they got [img]smile.gif[/img]

Well, ALL the shrines with the funny architecture are Daedric, and all have statues, since they are dedicated to one Daedra or the other.
Yet only few statues can actually evoke the Daedra prince.

By the way, do you think those shrines are a reference to the shrines of Cthulhu as described by Lovecraft? (strange angles, impossible perspective, etc.)

i think the strange angles and impossible perspectives are due to the fact that its ruins and most of it has slid and been covered by the landscape, dont think daedric places were like that before they got ruined
