First Guild Quests

I am working on the first Cleric Guild quest and I talked to the frog I am needed to talk to, but I cannot get him to take the silly potion from my cleric. How do I get him to take it? I've tried the use/give button but all he wants me to do is go to the frog village. I havent cleared out the crypt yet, for I am just wandering around the wilderness slaugtering the not so innocent critters that decide to attak me.
Also, I killed the guy for the fighter guild, I got the message saying congrats and so on, but my guild level didnt raise... how do I get it to go up?

And one final question, where is a theives guild?

1. The Frog - When I did this quest I had a problem as well. The damn frog would talk with me, but he wouldn't stop running around. So I would have to catch up with him, ask a question, then follow him around to hear his answer. I did this for all the responses, then gave him the potion. He took it from me without a problem, the only hard part was trying to keep up with him.

2. I don't know about the warrior quest. I killed the bandit and got my raise just fine. Damn bugs.

3. Lastly, the thieves guild is in the next town. It's in the pawn shop.
