Personally, I like the Kensai better. Cause he has GREAT thac0, are one h*** of a good fighter, and gain levels pretty fast. But the fact that he cant wear armour, is kind of a disadvatage if you're gonna go solo.
So that way, the Barbarian might be the best choice. He moves faster, which is a great thing, he can throw himself into Berserking (which also is great), and is a pretty good fighter. So I would say the Barbarian as the easiest, and it's pretty much the same on 'funness'. see ya! |

You should solo a babarian, they get babarian rage which is so powerful especially if you are a half orc with 19 constitutuion and strength.

Get a monk. Don't have to worry about items at all, plus you get armor/speed/damage bonuses, fists are considered +weapons at different levels, and you have awesome THAC0, as well as speed and damage. Great spell saves.

I've started soloing as Kensai, plan to dual over to Mage at Level12. I just don't think I'll be able to make it through without any magic...
As far as using a fighter-only type, I'd say barbarian, due to the protections you get when in berserk mode.. |
