I would be interested in what pathyou people of the forum would recommend for the most exp and stuff. Shadow Theif or Bodhi.
I do plan on getting Edwin but im unsure which path enables me to get him quicker. Is it just a matter of good=theif bad=bodhi and if so why. |

If you want Edwin, you have to get him before working for Bodhi. The quest to get Edwin is not related to the issue of taking sides, but when you side with Bodhi, you fight the Shadow Thieves, which means you lose the chance to get Edwin if you did not do so earlier.
To get Edwin, you need to talk to Renal Bloodscalp. He resides on the second floor of the Shadow Thieves guild. Do his quest first, then you can safely make your decision. If I recall correctly, choosing either side will result in having the same amount of Xp and reward items. ------------------ If not a Sorcerer casting total oblivion, then a Cavalier meting out justice. Playing good will get you more XP overall, but even if you choose the evil path you will still hit the BG2 XP cap with plenty of space to spare. This is mainly because if you were playing true to your alignment rather than going for a monty haul game, there would be certain good-alignment quests that you would refuse if you were evil.

Both paths give good XP, but the Bodhi path gives way more stuff. You get all the stuff from Bodhi's lair AND all the stuff from Aran's lair. Edwin is unrelated to these quests EXCEPT in that you must do the Edwin-getting quest BEFORE you join Bodhi. To get Edwin go speak with .... S P O I L E R ! ! ! ... Renal Bloodscalp. He's upstairs in the Shadow Thieves' Guild. -- Nifft |
