underdark portals(slight spoiler)

Those portals that produce the different elementals near the start of the underdark - do they produce infinite amounts of earth, wind and fire- haha i know its air - anyway sorry, of them or do they stop after a while?

I am not sure, but I think they'll just keep popping out.

If I remember correctly they stop producing elementals whenever you free the mage from his maze with a Freedom Spell.

Nope, they have a limit, around 12-15. I love camping at those portals, free easy Xp!

You should cast a Freedom Spell, as Tsantlar said, and a mage will appear. He will ask for your help. Then he will go to each portal and he will cast some spells and great elementals of each element will appear. He will do it at all three of the portals.

wow that is a huge help - newhere in particular to cast the freedom spell? how did you even find out how to do this?

the dueragar in the south hint to it. just cast the spell on the right map, which is the main underdark section. he will appear norht of the duergar.

oh rite, im playing the game throguh for the fourth time and i have never come across that little encampment before - also how much stuff can u get from the mage before he teleports away or wotever , i got to second stage.
