What is tanking?

Tanking is using a guy, usually a warrior of some sort, with a lot of hit points and heavy armor, to stop the enemy short of your party members using spells/ ranged weapons. He'll absorb most of the damage and deal out his own in melee while the others use spells on the enemy and then heal him.

'tis true, I usually like to have
two to three front line bashers to
absorb most of the melee damage.
I like to get tanked...er...um..yeah!!
