Why is it that my Robes that I have on my mages just randomly disappear every so often? Does anyone else have this problem? or a solution?

have you had an encounter with a nishruu and hakeashar? they eat all sorts of magic items they aren´t supposed to eat...

Nishruu are *only* supposed to eat magical items with charges. However, there was a bug that allowed nishruu to eat all magical items. Baldurdash has a fix for it.
