Hello all.

Well, heres the deal.

I've just beaten Nessie and trundled along to Davey Jones Locker and you guessed it - no excalibur.

Can soneone give me the stats of the sword so I can see whether it's worth battering away all night tonight killing nessie again and again trying to get it?

don't kill her. walk right past.

If you have a fighter with around 200 HP if you start combat from behind the rocks it takes you about 4 runs to get to the locker cave. Your whole party may die but a fighter with some ress' dust can bring em back.

The annoying bit is getting past the encounters to get to nessie every time you want to re-load the chest. Although the ghosts do drop light swords and sheilds...

True...... if you come from Mt Gigas .

False..... if you coem from Bayjin .

I figure that Dyntheos is coming from the latter.

I read a good idea at some point on this board.
Save outside, go inside, and save under a second slot right inside, run past nessie, check the chest.

If the chest has the sword, reload from the second save, and kill nessie the right way.

If the chest doesn't have the sword, reload from the first save and run past until it does.

A good idea is to run past Nessie, check if you get what you want, and if it is there, reload, AND SNEAK BEHIND HER ANYWAY. Well, try some times until everybody survives, I don't like anybody dying, even with res powder... Why? Well, you have a nice sword then, right? Really helps to make it an enjoyable battle.

Never forget your towel, cheers
Philipp
