Ok, it's been forever since I last played. What order do I install everything. I know game first (duh!). I've got the 6 disc version just cuz it makes a little bit of a difference. Ok so BG first. Then TotSC. then patch, then direct x 8+ patch, then baldurdash?

Also what's the site that has baldurdash? And or are there any other fix packs that may or may not be better than baldurdash?

Thanks all for the help.

www.baldurdash.org has all the Baldurdash's (both the text update for typos and mistakes, and the actual bugfixes.) I believe the modders Gibberlings 3 are working on a fixpack for BG1, which largely expands the fixes by Baldurdash, but it's a far ways off AFAIK.

That installation order sounds right, but I've never heard of the Direct X patch - are you just updating the Direct X or is it a specific BG patch? In any case, that should work fine.

the bioware site had a patch for compatability with directx versions above 8.0 apparently there were some issues.

the only reason you'd ever need the dx8 patch would be if you MP online.
