I'm sure that somewhere I read that Robert Jordan was planning to make the series a 14 book series. I have read the first 9 twice now, but I just can't wait for the rest.

My question is, how old is Robert Jordan? What if he doesn't make it to the end of the series!!!! What will happen???? Please don't let it happen!

Check About the Author after the Glossary in tome 9.

(1948 if you don't feel like doing it )

Yeah, great series!
I'm actually up to book 8 so I still have Winter's Heart to go after I finish Crown of Swords =)

I don't actually know how many are meant to be in the series.. but I hope he finishes them before he dies

Robert Jordan's real name is Roland Green and has been a sci-fi fantasy author for over 20 years. He was originally going to make the wheel of time series into a 7 book series but that changed when the publishers saw the popularity of the series sky rocket the way it did. You can tell when this decision was made in the 4th book by how Jordan stretches out the imagery etc and starts to lose focus. Now dont get me wrong, I really like the series but you can tell he lost his focus for a little bit and has had to work hard to get it back. This series is slated to be a 10 book series but with how the plot line has developed (I wont go into details) I think there has been another adjustment in the book length. My opinion is that he had a great start on these books but really needs to tighten up the series so that there is plot movement forward rather than another meandering through his world...

Thanks for the info Miinxx!!

Personally, I hope he doesn't finish after 10. I feel there would be a lot of untied ends.
