Strange little bug near Friendly Arms

Only a minor issue...but still worth a mention

During my the earliest phase in my new latest game with ToTSC installed and the patch, I came accross an odd little bug which I never faced during previous adventures.

After arriving at the Friendly Arms Inn, I took care of Tancred (who normally gives more of a fight than what he did this time around) and then got the little mission from Joia to fetch her ring back from the hobgoblins.

Ok, so after getting Khalid and Jaheira and doing all necessary resting and shopping, I head out on nightfall to explore the surrounding area near the Inn. I find the offenders, dispose of them, loot and take the ring back and get the 400 or so xp.

Now, after I went back outside, the map appeared still black in most areas as if somehow, what I'd just done, hadn't happened at all. It was quite mystifying. I then retraced my steps and sure enough, killed the same Hobgoblins and got a second flamedance ring! Strange!

I don't suppose anyone has experienced the same thing or can account for this? I just hope it isn't a sign of any further, more dramatic bugs!

lol, that is a strange one! I must say that has never happened to me before!

Did you check if you had 2 of the rings and didn't reload, gotten the ring again, and forgotten you had reloaded? Either that, or the game didn't register that you went through the area or something. The variables were probably reset (or whatever, I'm no computer expert to even know what I'm talking about )
