i am alittle confussed i think i did this quest back wards. i got two of the weird crystles the beak and the half of the head.

i have been looking all over the place for the third one and i was wondering if it was in that huge room with all of the cheasts across the lava pit? cuz my priest cant open them with the disarm trap spell. so what do you recomend?

Dragon shards can be semi-randomly placed but it is pretty likely that there is one where you think there is. Don't you have a thief?? Do you have the Vine spell PRY???

nope i dont have a thief and i do have the pry spell but it does not always work

I read recently that using protective spells helps to take less damage when you bash them too. I would think that bashing might be an option if the lock does not end up jammed and your characters can survive the damage without being turned to stone or something severe like that.

Wondering if you can strafe out of the path of fireballs or is such damage automatic?

I would not recommend trying it on a whirling dervish trap though unless you have room to run from the whirling dervish!
