Dear Wyv
Thanks! I wanted to say that you have responded to just about every post i have left asking for help, and have been extremely helpful! I can attribut a good amount of enjoyment i have had for this game to you. HOWEVER... The staff of Summoning is cursed I found it on a centaur, and when i equiped it...poof. Cost me 5 grand to uncurse it! I fear that just about every cool staff is that way the hint book is in agreement with you, btw |

Are there ANY magic staves in the game that are NOT cursed?

Er, um, just save before equipping and if an item is cursed . . . reload. It is only cheating a little.

the staff of wails (???) is not cursed. But for me, a good blessed witch-stick (12*damage) is much more better the all the staffs u will find.

Dont dismiss the cursed staffs ect as often the advantages outweigh the small disadvantage. Most just cause hit point loss at such a slow rate that a piece of armour or jewelery with regeneration powers more than compensates. Many have special powers like sleep, pyralisis + hit ect and as you dont normally swap weapons until you find something better.
