Am trying to install IWD/HOW and after installing IWD I put the HOW disk in and it starts the install program than after a minute it asks for the next disk...theres only one disk??Any ideas?? Thanks

Ok is the error message something like "insert CD0 with file data3.cab?"
If so it is a common problem and is mainly cause by CD being scratched. I had it too, got one of those scratch removal kits and it worked fine. You can try also this (which seems to have worked for other people) Right click on my computer, select properties then somewhere you have to put 'no read ahead' in cdrom file system property. Also try switching DMA off.

It is a brand new game,and after getting IWD to finally load now I have no sound!!WTF!

Got my sound to work but seem to have found a bug.When I talk to Hogbreath and we all head to the pass as soon as I get to the cut scene the game freezes up and I can't get out of it.Is there a patch for this problem? I have tried to download a patch and the lure thing upgrade but nothing seems to download??Any ideas? Thanks

I have had the same problems and many more. My advice..uninstall completely and reinstall. If you have any saved games put them in another folder so you don't have to start from the beginning.
In my case I had to actually go into the registry and delete the files there because the uninstaller wouldn't work either. Also, I found that doing the recommended install instead of the full cuts down on install problems. Hope this helps! |

Actually I uninstalled than reinstalled using a different drive (F.instead of E.) and everything loaded fine!Than logged on to Kazaa and downloaded TOL ( which I couldn't download anywhere else!) and I'm off and running..Thanks for the replys
