TOB upgrade question

I am thinking of getting Throne of Baal, but I'm unsure if I want it or not. When you install it, does it do pretty much the same thing as Tales of the sword coast did with BG1? or is it a real add on with extra plot and the like? I havn't quite finished SOA yet, so would it be better to waight and start a new Game with TOB installed or will it add right on the end of the game I already have going?

Think of TOB as more of a sequel than an add-on, as this is what it was originally meant to be, BG3. TOB adds one new area into SOA, but also adds an entire new world map into the game which you travel too after SOA and this adds chapters 8, 9 and 10 to the game which conclude the Bhaalspawn saga.

In my opionion TOB is a must have for any Baldurs Gate fan

Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll get it then. I wasn't interested if it was going to be like Tales of the sword coast.
