I'm starting over again from SoA, and i just get sick of playing casters, so im wondering what the best fighting class (in a party) is by ToB. I'm willing to be any kind of fighter or ranger, or a monk or barbarian, maybe even a dual or multi class.

Depends on what you mean by best.

I like the Inquisitor. It does not have the priest speels , but it has a STRONG dispel magic. The dispel magic which the inquisitor can cast is TWICE his actual level, so a 20th level Inquisitor would cast a 40th level dispel magic. Make him use a carsomyr (holy avenger sword) and he will be a formidable fighter almost imune to magic.
Good luck Ed

My personal favorite is the Half Orc Barbarian dual wielding FotA (+5 when you get that horror! lol) and Defender of Easthaven. Also, if you can manage it, keep the Roranachs horn helm for him, don't make the superstick if you get around it... Give him Belt of Inertial Barrier (or a strength one if 19 isn't good enough sheesh!) to make him more resistant, and then bring a few different suits of armour along with you. Generally use Grandmaster's Armour (unless you have a thief with it and then you should use the firey +6 armour) or Human Leather. Both are pretty good for most purposes. Also, carry Shadow Dragon Scale and any other scale that he can wear (I think thats all of it though).
Basicly, you can take more hits than they can, since you have 40% resistance minimum in all types of damage. ![]() Oh, if you run HO barbarian, you can get 25 strength + constitution from Rage and Draw Upon Holy Might. ![]() Monk is tough too. If you like cheese though, use the Kensai/thief. Really kinda cheap though. |
