After my mage has casted SI:Abjuration he can still cast Protection From Magical Weapons or any other spell from the school of Abjuration on himself and they WORK.

Shouldn't be all abjuration spells blocked? Is this overlooked or a bug or is it intentionally done so? Any ideas?

Bug.

Dunno how SI work's, not had reason to look it up, but I get the feeling it blocks a list of spell's rather than spell's themselves..

OR

It might block extrenal casting's only, try casting SI: ilision(however you spell it) and then have another wiz cast invisablity on you mage.

I'm with the second theory: SI only blocks spells cast from an outside source.

I was so convinced in total blocking of spells, that I actually never tried casting PFMW when under SI:Abj until just recently when fighting some beholders and I was in real trouble. "I would really need some PFMW now" and I tried and it worked.

But this is a very powerful option to have - preventing removal of protections while being able to recast new ones. Hmm...

I'm with the third way on this one. Any and all spells cast by the party are allowed, only spells cast by hostiles/outsiders are blocked.

which is kinda the point of this thread..

SI is meant to stop all spell's of that school, good or bad, freindly or hostile.
