I was playing a half-orc Fighter/Cleric and straight away noticed the iventory screen avatar was different to the ingame one.Ingame,he just looks like a human.Is there a way to get the proper Half-Orc one ingame?

Thats completely normal. It kind of sucks knowing your half-orc is a huge and muscular brute, but looks like a skinny human...lazy, lazy black isle(though its propably hard coded in a way that they couldnt change the avatars, since they are using basically the same engine as BG1 used.)
