I created a halfling generic archer and had him specialize in darts, daggers and slings, to see how extra strength damage bonus applied. I had him wear a Belt of Giant Strength to get his stregth up to 19, which should give him extra 7 points in damage. Here's what I found :
Darts, normal - strength bonus applies. 12-14 damage per hit. 1-3, +2 for kit bonus, +2 for proficiency bonus, +7 strength bonus. Darts +1 - no strength bonus. Dart +3 (from WK) - no strength bonus. 8-10 damage per hit. 1-3, +2 for kit, +2 for proficiency and +3 for magical weapon. Darts of Wounding or Stunning - no strength bonus. Throwing Daggers (all types, including Fire Tooth, Boomerang, Poisoned Daggers, etc.) - no strength bonus. Sling - no strength bonus unless either the bullets are magical or Sling of Seeking. However, magical bullets allow strength bonus, for all slings, including Sling of Evarard. My question is, is my game bugged or is this what others have observed? My game has the latest patches and Baldurdash. |
