Protocol??

I posted yesterday about finally winning the game and there was a reply about a spoiler that I accidently put in there. First of all, SORRY!! I hope this didn't ruin it for anyone. Second, I'm planning on posting more throughout my BG2 journey (I wish I found the forum at the beginning of BG1, I could have used some help at parts), and I'd like to know if there's an FAQ on posting etiquette. Again, sorry for the faux pas, and thanks for the edit suggestion (I did).

As long as you've edited I think there should be no problem Jeromy, a good idea about spoilers is to put "SPOILER" in the topic title and to add:

Spoiler!

At the top of the post so people can see where the spoiler begins and leave the thread before reaching the spoiler.

As for general posting etiquette, don't swear overly much, if you really MUST use the F-word then write it like this: "f***", it tends to offend less and also, I probably don't need to tell you this since you seem to be a bright person, don't insult others, that's about it, I've followed these rules and I've avoided getting banned so I guess they should do, hope you stick around Jeromy! And visit the General Discussions forum some time, lots of wonderful people there.

Yep, the protocol is mainly

1) be polite
2) mark spoilers
3) don't spam too much

And as for not finding it before you started BG1, well, you've found your way using your own tactics instead of those of others. Makes you feel good, don't it? [img]smile.gif[/img]
