It is unfortunate that I had to read the Chapter 2 walk through to
clear the Goblem Room But the Haste and Pause trick did work.

Has anyone cleared the Goblem Room a different way?

Just curious if I could have done it without the spoiler.

Hmmm.. if you tack the golems one set at a time that may help. Start with the easiest first. Like start with the flesh golems. then the rock golems then clay. and save the big guy for last. I forget which weapon types specifically are needed to deal with golems. You might find a lot of the info you're looking for at Six of Spades website. SOS's site Check it out, hope it helps.

I guess your talking about luring the golems to the
door and blocking them and attack one at a time.

If I recall only the larger golem gets stuck in that door. I may be wrong though. Anyways if you did the a certain quest already, then you would have access to a bow that doesn't need arrows. You'd be able to chip the Golems down one HP at a time. But that doesn't seem to be the case here I think. Not a clue honestly. I'd need to play the section again, but I can't since I have the BG1tutu mod installed.

Err, what´s that supposed to spoil?
The fun of finding out that you are inside a chamber, surrounded by clay golems, and you have no weapons to kill them with?

Anyway, if i dont have the energy to deal with the golems i just summon a few creeps, cast haste on my thief, get in, get the items, get out before the golems are done battering the summons.
Works pretty well.

I do it a bit like Firestormalpha. I attack then one at a time the crapest ones first. Then before i get to the last one i loot the treasure so that i can use the warhammer on it combined with the staff from the a certain lich. And i just keep blutering it with a cleric near to heal. Works well

Step...

 1. Find a +1 enchanted or better blunt weapon.
 2. Find some +2 enchanted or better weapons of any kind.
 3. Make your Mages memorise Melf's Minute Meteors or tell them to sling with enchanted bullets.
 4. Surround a Flesh Golem and beat the crap out of it.
 5. Repeat step 4 on the other Flesh Golem.
 6. Rest if necessary, else surround the Stone Golem and beat the crap out of it with +2 weapons or better.
 7. Take out all your enchanted blunt weapons and show Mr Clay Golem why Maces and Putty do not mix.
 8. Do it again to Mr Clay Golem number two.
 9. Move everybody out of the room save one. Tell that person to poke the Iron Golem then run out of the room screaming like a little girl.
 10. Poke the Iron Golem to death through the door with a +3 or better two-handed weapon.
 11. Loot the whole room.
QED.

Tansheron's bow is the awnser. It will always hit the Golems. It's also good against Dragons, Liches...you name it.

Ross, can I just ask a simple off-topic question? Where is faceman in this entire post?
