I'm having trouble with Sarevok. how would I beat him?
Is there any way to break Hold Person? |

to break hold spells, the cleric spell level 3 "remove paralysis" will work, or you can use dispel magic. but dispell will also remove all other stuff on you, like chant, or strength. to kill sarevok, you should "buff up" as much as you can with potions and try and summon a lot of creatures to help. poison works good too, from darts of wounding and bolts/arrows of biting. ypo will need at least one good fighter with haste and other enhancing potions or spells on him to toe up and hold him back. try sneaking one char forward just enough to lure the enemies down one at a time, without starting sarevoks talk.(stick to the walls) then you can dispatch them easily and avoid the traps.

Ditto to Kitka's advice. What I often do is summon a LOT of creatures (and I mean a LOT), send them in front of you and inch forward slowly. I managed to get attacked by Sarevok only, without his minions. The trick is to completely surround him with summoned creatures so he can't move - Sarevok may kill 1 kobold per hit, but since I summoned over 30 monsters, that doesn't do much! Then fire Arrows +2 and other fun ammunition at him. At least that's the way I did it. Under NO circumstances attempt to defeat him with tanks, my main character was a tank with AC -10 and almost got killed with the first hit!
