welp, i still cant summon any creatures. (keeps telling me im overriding the 5 summon limit)

but also my save games are terribly and i mean terribly slow, they take, and i timed this . approx 2 minutes and 10 seconds to load.
where they used to take approx 6 seconds to load.

while playing the end of soa , and beginning of TOB at the time my whole comp was runnin a mock so i figured the slow loading had to do with the screwed comp.

comp is fine now, and the savegames still load horribly slow.
note that this has nothing to do with my comp or hd,
because i tried starting a new game in tob and soa , and they took about 5 seconds to load....

so my entire save games seem to be screwed.
could shadow keeper have done this?

durin my whole game i, changed my allignment from neatral to EVIL (right after having gone thru chateau irenicus for the 3rd time in 30 minutes, and still wanting another allignment)

i replaced the equipment i failed to recover after the viconia thing w/ bodhi in chapter 6 i think.
oh and i gave myself a memorised spellthrust.

thats all i did.

anyway i have no idea what is going on with my save games but is there anyway to fix them. they are unreplacable.
they contain my every bg2 accomplishment, my heart(no hearth) and soul went into it.

any ideas........at all ?
pleeeeease i beg of you.
*SIGH*

Do you have enough memory (256 mb is recommended), also how many savegame file's do you have..? Because once I got over 200 savegame file's and that really screwed up my loading time's.

Also did you change anything with the config's of BG II? Like changing the frame rate/monitor properties.. ect? This can also slow down your loading time.

Last one, did you install a new mod.?

Note: You are sure you have enough HD Space? (500mb of free space is the minimum you should have!)

i started a new tobgame, saved it. then put in all the old saves, the old saves take 2 min n 10 secs

the new tob save takes 5 seconds.
even tho its in there with the old saves, i now only have 10 old saves in , it used to be more tho.

i have about 2 gigs left, but thats only because i re-installed it on my c drive, before it was on my D: where i had about 90 gigs left.
further more i have an athlon 1.7 gigs
and 512 mb sdram.

i havent installed any new mod... only baldur and offi patch ,
this slow loadin been happenin for a while now id say a month, but i didnt mind in soa as i almost never died... in tob however.....

these are the same save games that dont let me summon anything , and changed my menu settings (they flipped around whirlwind and greater whirlwind after using shadowkeeper, that sorta thing)

its all the way screwed ((((((

i didnt change any config settings ,either way my system should be perfectl;y capable of handling anything bg2 has to offer.

this sux !

I have a bit of the same problem. Loading, some times, takes bloody forever.

I have a Power Mac 533 Dualie with a gig of ram. And some very fast hard drives because at times, I do some graphics heavy work. I have RAID arrays and such. Even have UltraWide super fast SCSI, but, the game is on Ultra ATA/66 drives.

There are moments when a save or a new area is loaded in mere seconds, and, there are times when it slows down to such a crawl. Took about 4 minutes one time to load Trademeet.

Check in BGconfig your Cache Size. Is it too small or too large? Try setting to cca 400MB.

welp i tried changing the cache size it didnt help.

also a sidenote my saves dont sometimes take long they take 2minutes and 10 seconds everytime, sometimes a tad bit longer.

tho the saves of a new game also in there load in 5 seconds.
this is just ruining the whole game for me, i cantr play like this

when i die it takes mme more then 2 damn minutes to reload.....

GAH!!

Sorry, I really don't know.
Try asking at Bioware and Interplay forums.
