I just started playing again and you forget some of the bits and peices that you learned the last few lives of the imortal strugle. I really love having the Wand of Monster Summoning. I know there are better ways to summon monsters; but, I find that having that wand in the folds of my robe, ready to pop out and....POOF! It really comes in handy when I don't want to waste a valuable spell slot. Besides the one from the begining, where are there any other wands? I forgot to sell that first one to Ribald so that I could have him recharge it for me. So, if you could spoil me as to where I could get another one, please do. Thanks.

The monsters summoned by the wand are really not worth it IMHO. It is better to summon spiders than those monsters - one time 4 sword spiders eradicated 2 trolls That was fun!

I believe that the WoMS is a random treasure on average mages? (Correct me if I'm wrong) You wont find it as common in pre-set places, so just keep your eyes open for treasures everywhere!

The Wand of Monster Summoning is mighty.
It gets you instant cannon fodder.
You can never have enough cannon fodder.

Anyone who played with Projected Images can verify that...

The Wand's value increases dramatically if you're soloing.

These are the places i KNOW that you can get one, 100% of the time.

Irenicus' House (the wand stands)
Temple of Lathander (in a chest, you have to wait for night so you can nick it)
Possibly on the lich in the gates district. I know he has SOME wands... im pretty sure its only cloudkill and lightning though.

If you have Edwin in the party and you do his little... "quest"...
You will eventually run into a mage named Degardan. Edwin will kill him, and you can loot a Wand of Monster Summoning from his body.
