Remembers fondly the great dutch teams of the 70's. Man that WAS football. Johnny Rep and Cruyff *sigh*

What's the fun in watching football is there's nothing to whine about ? I simply don't want too many Ajax bitches in Oranje, did you see Babel miss that open shot ? Sheesh...no keeper in the goal and he still manages to miss.

Anyway...we're back in the lead, so it's not all that bad.

Johnny Rep and Cruyff *sigh* [/QUOTE]Heh...i saw an interview with Johnny Rep just a few days ago, in which he pointed out that he missed two open shots in both the 74 and 78 finals, so all Dutchies had every reason to blame him for us missing out on two worldtitles. I was like "that's mighty fair of you Johnny, now let's make an appointment so i can give you a good clean kick in the nuts, then we'll call it even".

Btw...maybe it's just my imagination running wild here, but Johnny is starting to look an awful lot like Andre Hazes, and that's not somthing to be proud of really.

To be honest I'm gonna be supporting the dutch, tho I reckon the lack of Stamm's presence in defence could prove a big potential weakness.

That being said I know little of the current dutch defensive lineup so I'm hoping to be proved wrong

The defense has always been our weakness, however we seem to be more solid than ever at the moment. Let's just hope it continues to be that way once the real thing starts.

He's BAAAAACCCCKKKK!!!!!

Socceroos star Harry Kewell made an unexpected return to the field in Australia's practice match against a Dutch amateur club in the Netherlands overnight.

Kewell netted two goals and set up several others as the Socceroos continued their build-up to the World Cup with an 8-1 win over VV Kloetingen.

So he will be fit for the cup .... woot!!!

Looks like Crouch will be starting with Micky Owen in England's opener after getting a double against Jamaica.
