I'm not sure that's true, or if we can judge how much influence a manager has on his players, but the initial point remains: it takes more than money to win titles and Chelsea have won two in a row very convincingly.

However, the most important title remains a dream.

After 45 minutes Holland are down 1-0 against Mexico, but they're playing in a complete fantasy line up, most players that are playing tonight will not be in the starting line up during the WC, so the idea behind this is completely beyond me. I understand that a coach would want to give his reserves some playtime, but all reserves at the same time ? I mean come on, that's not what these testmatches are for. We're on the road to an important tournament here, not to some ordinary playground gathering. Wake up van Basten.

On a sidenote: Holland under 21 just reached the finals of the European championship that's currently being held in Portugal, by beating france 3-2. Huntelaar once again proved van basten was wrong not to select him for the A squad, by scoring a tremendous goal by stifting the ball over the French goalie from outside the penaltybox, kinda reminded me of how Dennis Bergkamp used to handle the ball. Anyway, it's good to see we have a young and talented next generation coming up, we don't have much to worry about for the future.
