Thanks again.

I was thinking of a traditional party going back to Dungeon Master days.
Lizardman Fighter, going with Sword and mace
Hobbit Rogue, Sword and dagger
Mook Ranger, Bow with maybe a whip
Preist changing to Bish after 5 levels

Then I'd pick up a gadgeteer to make the dagger.

The only worries I have is would a fighter and rogue make the game to dull and samey?

Yet one more question.
I thought I would re-install the game before I start, What setting do you use to play with? I've left it so far with Direct X 7, changed resulation to 1024*768*32. But I don't know what sound to choose.

if you're thinking DS-mod make that fighter a lord with dagger and mace, the combination Rusted dagger off the rogues in the lower monastery with the mace from the battle at the Umpanicamp is staggering. Make that thief two daggers instead of sword snd dagger, and give that Ranger an axe, you'll see why, have fun, William

add: "pick up a gadgetteer". You can only get Madras, and I do not know if you want a lvl. 7 gadgetteer, when the rest is 10+. Of course you can enlist Myles in the mod, and have a gadgetteer with some thieving, have fun, William
And make that Lord a Dwarf or a Dracon, or a Rawulf, some intelligence is needed to learn skills more quickly.

I'm not sure what settings I play with. The ranger using a whip is a good idea. If you get a whip and combine it with the spider silk you get the spidersilk whip. It gets two attacks and can paralyze and poisin. Combine two spidersilk whips and get the elder spidersilk whip. You can duel wield spidersilk whip. I'm not sure if you can duel wield a spidersilk and an elder spidersilk, I don't think so. But you can duel wield the elder spidersilk and the "wound" mace. Have your lord duel wield the lords fist mace and the dagger. I love those whips, it is a divinity skill to combine I think.

I was thinking the Fighter would get more damage than the Lord, but I'll give the Lord another go. I like Dwarf's but I think the breath weapon will sing it in favour of the Dracon, I might need something early on that can cause cone damage.

I like playing a dwarf priest with mace for 9 or 10 levels then switching to a fighter. That way you have your divinity high enough for anything and you get the fighters damage.

I've no idea what I've done, was on the Arnika road, near the rogue den thing, and all the Hergardi was hostile to me. Went back through all my saved games and the Hergardi were all hostile, even the first time I went to the upper monistary god knows what I've done.
Can't believe I'm going to have to start again. Another weekend of gaming wasted.
I'm really unlucky at this game.

you may need to re-install at this point. The oly time I had the higardi hostile that early was when I accidentally killed some of the helpers in the monestary. I think it was the monk that walks around.
