He sat in his bed trying to calm himself enough to fall asleep. Try as he might he couldn't go to sleep. ~The sun will be rising soon, i must get some sleep for we will be arriving late into the night tomorrow,~ he went out on deck and to the end of the ship and stared of into the distance, mind racing with the events of the day to notice the paladin. He layed down at the front bow of the ship(bow is the front right?) and immediatly in the breaze fell asleep. Little did he notice the tremondous storm brewing up...\

Back in her own allocated cabin, she tosses and turns on her bed, failing to sleep. Staring at the ceiling, breathing in the sea air, she thanks... who has she to thank, now that the god she has hitherto worshipped is proven evil? Ah, she must thank her companions, then, for accepting her entry into the party. And soundlessly, too...

It is impossible to try to get some rest. She swings her feet off the bed in one motion and stands up, arranging her worn-out robes. Silently, she opens the door and walks barefooted outside, towards the deck of the ship.

The night sky is velvety, almost caressing her. Occasionally, its jewels sparkle, then hide behind its folds. Staring at them, she closes her eyes, listening to the waves crashing... she almost stumbles suddenly, as the ship begins to rock. Opening her eyes hurriedly, she sees the waves growing menacingly and ominous clouds gathering in the sky. A flash of lightning now streaks across, tearing the velvet apart. Followed by the shattering, heart-stopping boom of thunder.

Eyes widening, she makes a dash now, back inside the safety of the ship. Sprinting along the corridor, she begins to bang on the doors of her companions' rooms. Screeching hoarsely, trying to wake them up...

Skye was comfortable enough when traveling over water. In fact, she loved it, which was a bit strange for a woodland elf. Since she had not seen the great ocean (it is an ocean, right?) for so long, she had decided to stay up, to stare out her small window in her cabin, while Lyulfe lay curled up at the foot of her bed (he's not very big, as song dragons tend to be). Hearing someone retching in the darkness, she smiled faintly. "Seems that I'm not the only one up," she thought to herself. Deciding to go see if she could help the sick person, she headed towards her door. When she opened it, she was surprised by a large rumble, and was almost run over by the cleric that had just joined them. "What's wrong?" Skye asked in worry, noticing the upset face of the other woman. Remembering that she couldn't talk due to a horrible curse, she rushed to get a light and some paper and ink. "Quick, write it down," she said hurriedly.

OOC- bladesinger, Larry? actually a blade bard, but bladesinger sounds a bit cooler... ^_^ oh, and sorry i havent posted for so long... drat, missed out on the battle! ;-( wah, no fair....

Her face almost contorting from worry and despair, she tears the pen and paper away from the stunning bard. Writing in block letters:

THUNDERSTORM AHEAD. WE MUST BRACE OURSELVES!

And she begins flailing her arms wildly, pointing to the doors once more. Out of an impulse, she opens her mouth... only to produce a croak. Wretchedly, she turns aside.

Guys, all this material is first class, well actually i haven't read it. Please don't post anything more unless you want to join, I'm awfully busy, and I'll respond tommorow. THANX. Anyone wanting to join, just say it, no more stuff lest you blow the plot line, hmm, maybe you didn't start, but it'll be ready in no time! Thanx

OOC>>>Sorry, [img]smile.gif[/img] I thought that was what you were trying to say, since bladesingers actually exist. If I could be anything I wanted to be, it would be a bladesinger...they use song magic with their fighting skills. It takes a special kind to be one.

IC>>>Larry found himself flying through the air and landing against the wall. As he slid down it, he wondered how he had got from his bed into this unpleasant cirmcumstance. Jumping up, he could feel the ship rocking to and fro. Jerking on his slacks, he ran out of his cube to find others of his group along with the crew of the ship desparately trying to keep the ship afloat. Seeing a need for more muscle at holding down the main mast, Larry ran over and grabbed his share of rope and held on for dear life. The rope bit into his hands and stung. The shipmate beside him got hit by a rutter that had broken loose and was thrown from the ship to become shark bait. Larry made sure that his hold was secure, and began to survey the others' welfare. It seemed that everyone was fighting to stay onboard and away from the waves that washed over the hull.

Hmm, so far, i skimmed through, and i think there has been a battle with a mysterious cohort from the Citidael of Arkaies. Very good indeed. Now, have we set sail yet? Just curious. Someone cue me in, thanx.

OOC- oooh, now i dont know whether i want to continue to be a bladebard, or change to a bladesinger... err... *undecided look on face* eh, I'll figure it out later... ^_^ I'll probably continue to be a bladebard.

IC- Hugging Mistral to ease her discomfort and embarrassment, Skye gave her a heartwarming smile (well, if she does have any skills at all, Skye knows how to make friends!) and brought her into her cabin. "We should be ok in here from the storm. Lyulfe will watch over us," Skye said reassuringly. "Unless, of course, you want to come with me to check on whomever was wretching outside my window. He didn't sound too good, and this weather is most likely not helping." Skye handed the cleric the ever available paper and ink, and waited to see her response.

Her eyes gleam in the candlelight, as she reaches for the pen and paper once more. This time, she writes the message with her brows set and lips pursed:

I am here to serve, and serve I shall.

With that, she turns to the bard and smiles shyly, her icy hands reaching out to clasp hers. Nodding furiously, she releases her left hand, raises it and points to the corridor outside the cabin ~ "Aughh...aughh..."

And she begins to drag the bard outside with her...

OOC>>>Approaching? Wow! My character is really in for it then...he is doing his best holding down the main mast from being ripped apart! Oh, and ladies...don't come out of the cabin and see me...I only put on my slacks so I am shirtless and in the rain and with my bulging muscles showing while holding down the main mast, you might swoon from excitement and be totally useless in our emergency!
