Cheese du Wellard, remember? He didn't have to look. If Moz had seen the question first, Wellard would have had nothing coming.

I hope someone else knows this one otherwise I'll have to send a troll-slayer into the forest to get the answer...

Apropos of the above: how the hell does a merchant make ANY money in the Trollbark Forest? It's not like popping down the the nearest 7-11 to get a carton of milk (unless you live in the wrong kind of neighbourhood in which case maybe it is?).

[/QUOTE]It's all about having a captive audience, UV. If you are the ONLY place for miles that has gas, then you set the prices according to your whim. Even if you only get one customer each day, you can find ways to make profit. Having a store on the (currently) outer edges of the Trollbark Forest means that all those goldbearing adventurers who dare challenge the greater woods need to come to you and you alone for all their needs. (Which is why I would love to see some better armors show up there for rangers, monks, and clerics - but that's another thread!) Besides, as an elf, you always have those fey networks to call on whenever you need something shipped in.

Remember, those trolls NEVER try to challenge Milith anywhere past a certain marker on the bridge. There must be a few very good (and more than likely fatal) reasons he hasn't been eaten yet. As well, one has to wonder if Trueleaf (sp?) even knew of Milith's existence before leading his doomed expedition into the Trollbark Forest. If he did, then why didn't he go and make camp close by? All of his little pointy-eared friends might alive right now... Alas, such is not to be.

The Forgotten Realms don't always follow the same laws that our reality does. And for that, I am thankful. It means there is always a chance that the good guys can win the day. (Or the bad guys, depending on the alignment the PCs are that day.) So, shop at your local elven store! Give him money. Yes... Give him money...

I will try to make this an easy one...

sticking to the Items theme we had going here, can anyone name one of the two set items -specifically in terms of weapons- found inside of the Underground Desert which can be found on other levels? (Note, each item is found in two different locations - one of the locations is within the Underground Desert.) I won't go for both items, as one of them is usually an "iffy" find at best in its alternative location...
