So what have you actually learned:
Let sleeping dragons lie?
or
Have big stick will travel?

SNICKER....dragons...

You should ask LadyZ about Sacred! She's the one that got me playing it and she knows it pretty well. She gave some good tips when I first started it. I like the game for times when you don't want to worry too much about following the plot and just want to have a little run around and find treasure/dispose of goblin shaman time.

LOL, yes, things do come across the water... *snicker*

Something more along the lines of: Don't walk to close to the water, you never know what'll jump out at you.

also I left my horse in town on one occasion and when I got back, he was gone. So I've either encountered a glitch or you're not supposed to go too far from your horse.

So far the hardest decision has been, which race/character to play. For now I've settled on Seraphim.

Well, see that's the problem. The horseshoe icon was gone too. And the horsey health bar. Not sure when it happened. Another thing I've found out is that escort missions would be much easier if the guy/girl your escorting would kindly stay out of combat, or at least not chase after an enemy that runs away.

Seraphim?
Isnt that a rank of angel? Or is that an elf?

In Sacred it's something like an angel. You could also be Daemon, Dark Elf, Wood Elf, Dwarf, Vampiress, Gladiator, or Battlemage.

So far it seems like Diablo 2 and Dungeon Siege ran off together and had a baby.

Your horse may have been killed if you left it near some hostile creatures. Or it's possible you haven't got the most up to date patches because horses used to vanish alot then! I had that problem. You'd have a horse then open the game again and it was gone. One thing that did help before I patched was to always call and sit on the horse when saving before quitting.

Ahh, yes the patch seems to be what I needed. I was running version 2.24, I didn't bother to check for an update. turns out they have a 2.28. Of course hostiles could be part of the problem too, I've noticed that goblins and orcs have no issues about waltzing into town and attacking no one but myself and or my horse.

Morning, all. Was in Atlanta for a couple of days last week on vacation (of all things!) Did the tourist bit... zoo, aquarium, World of Coke, Underground Atlanta, and laser light show at Stone Mountain. It was a blast!

The kids enjoyed the zoo, and my son got to see the pandas (which are his favorite animal... he has a panda bear, not a teddy bear). We even got to see a panda poop...

The aquarium was a blast, with the variety of sharks that they have. The kids like seeing those, although they were anxious to get to the world of Coke, which concluded with the tasting room. Grab a cup, and try the 60+ different coke brands and flavors from around the world! My son discovered a new favorite.... vanilla coke

We went to the laser light show at Stone Mountain, and it was impressive! Only two downers (and suggestions, should you have the chance)... First, either bring earplugs or don't sit next to the speakers Second, bring an umbrella in case it rains. Other than that, lasers, fireworks... what more could you want?

Underground Atlanta was okay, but the Johnny Rockets there (burger restaurant, for those unfamiliar) is worth seeing, just because the folks there are really motivated and excited. First thing the waitress did was to bring the kids a nickel for the jukebox at the table... good food, and good times It was an enjoyable place to go for lunch.

*yawn* and now, back to reality... day 3....
