Dream Theater rings a bell... and I suspect you're right. My taste in metal doesn't go as far as yours

Yeah, Dream Theater are the best known band from the lot (aside possibly from Nightwish), a couple years back they were getting quite a bit of airtime on MTV and similar medias (medii?)
Opeth, despite being a death metal band, did a quite soft album a few years ago. You might even like the songs from it (example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UxS6r49OlY) (that is a quite soft song, but if you do end checking out other songs by Opeth, watch out, because they do play some pretty heavy death metal stuff too, which you'll probably not like ![]()

Very rarely, once in a lifetime...they do play something that is halfway supportable.

I remember back in the late 1980's when they used to play the odd music video, just before it disappeared up it's own arse. *sigh*

Jorath- Kimya Dawson is the most adorable person who ever lived.
Okay, might as well play. My choices might also have something to do with how fun these are to sing... For example, Dancing Mad isn't listed here. Anyway, in no particular order... Fairytale of New York- The Pogues If I Ever Leave This World Alive- Flogging Molly Mr. Tanner- Harry Chapin The Wild Rover- Irish folk song Always True To You In My Fashion- Cole Porter (as sung by Ella Fitzgerald) I feel like an old lady. Kids These Days, listening to their newfangled music while they text-message on their Eye-Pods. It's malarkey, I tells ya, malarkey!
