Tyra held the child in her arms, and rocked him, holding him close to her. She sighed and kissed him, "I told Sylquis - when she asked. It would not have been right to do otherwise. Calaethis.. he may hit you, but only if he sees you - alone with Sylquis. He already knows that I punished you, and he's left it at that. But unless you stop being a thief, you'll never earn his trust - for some reason, he has an intense dislike of thieves, as being dishonourable... I'm sorry, but theres nothing I can do." she sighed, and continued to cuddle him.

edit, stupid typo which makes the entire post laughable.

"Good riddance," Alliene watched the drow warrior dissapear into the trees for a moment before looping the empty leash and collar around her shoulder. With a sigh, she settled herself onto the grass and thought of the safest place to bring Verloren...Avalon's caves were cold, Zachana's swamps were diease ridden, Defari was probably about as safe as the manor here...cursing she leaned back against a broad tree.

ooc- I'm back! ^^; err, LB did you just randomly release Nano's char or something? o.o It's really.. confusing... o.o;

ic- Skye had been preoccupied with her thoughts from what had happened earlier that day. After playing with Damion and the puppy that had continued to follow her and taking a bath, she left Damion and the creature in one of the many gardens of the manor. Skye wasn't sure where exactly Khalraan was, but she could sense even in her dreamy half-alert state that he was upset about something. In fact, everyone seemed to be distraught about something.

She sighed, feeling slightly bad for being so happy while everyone else wasn't. Walking by another part of the garden, she watched Alliene release the drow and lean against a tree, mumbling aloud about no place safe. Thinking for a bit, Skye approached her. "Pardon me, but I couldn't help overhearing. If you could find a relatively safe place for a few weeks, I know of a good place we can stay," Skye smiled. "It will be somewhat of a journey, but it won't be too hard for Verloren and her child, and it will give everyone a nice time to relax and enjoy themselves. I think we've overstayed our welcome here... everyone seems to be upset about some thing or another."

Skye raised a hand to her temple in confusion. "I wish I could help... please, is there anything I can do to help?" Alliene realised that when Skye said that, she did not just mean finding a safe place to stay. "Although we haven't always seen eye to eye, I wish to be of assistance. It's only fair, since I see you as a friend, and I was able to have Damion returned to me." She looked at Alliene and waited patiently for a reply.

ooc-nano asked to be released ooc, so hes not in the game any longer. And its not 'jumping ahead' cal. I just don't think theres a need to elaborate. All Alliene did was leave the passage way to go outside *frowns*

Alliene pushed herself to her feet and regarded Skye with her cold steel eyes. Her voice was warm, however,
"A safe place would be wonderful, Skye," she paused as she dusted leaves and grass off her trousers, "Just help me keep my sister from harm..." her eyes looked distant for a moment and she shook her head.

ic:Khal looked sadly up at Tyra, then nestled himself down to be hugged some more. The older elf's warmth, and kindness gave Khal a tendency to forget. Khalraan fell asleep in Tyratria's arms, as she rocked him, his thoughts were not so harsh anymore.

Tyra sighed, and resisted the urge to slap the younger elf. She wasn't his mother! She wasn't even Sylquis's mother... but she was her sister, and this ...elf, spied on her. Child or not - and then he wants her to mother him?! Tyra sighed again, and rocked the child in her arms. Kissing his forehead, she shook him awake. "Enough, child. Do not go to sleep. You have a bed for that, and I am not it." she smiled to take the sting off her words, and held him close, craddling the elf. Perhaps, given time, he'd stop his thieving ways.

'I'm sorry Lady Tyratria,'
He then questioned her, obviously he'd been thinking about things in the short time he'd been there.
'You said Lord Calaethis doesn't like thieves, and Sylquis told me to stop being a thief aswell, am I really that bad? I just did it to get some food, and fare for myself, after my father threw me out, then it became a habit...you don't hate me for it do you?'

Tyra looked acidly at Khalraan, and in a tart voice asked if he wanted another spanking. Taking him by the chin, the child still seated in her lap, she looked into his eyes, and asked "Yes, theft is bad, and was your father elven to throw you out? Or did you run away? It doesn't matter. I suppose... stealing food to keep yourself from starving may be all right, may, but that doesn't mean you should steal other things. Generally, people don't trust thieves. And no, I don't hate you. If I did, would you be sitting in my lap right now?" she gave him a stern glare, and then swatted his rump, hard. "Don't be so foolish, you silly child!" It was clear Tyra was sick of his self pity. Then she cuddled him again.

ic:Khal held to Tyra, and winced as she swatted his rear, he looked sad, but he did not weep again,
'I'm sorry, And my father was an elf, he beat me.'
Looking forlorn, Khal thought for a second then said
'Skye offered to teach me to be a bard, is that ok with you?'
This thought made Khal brighten a bit,
'Skye's nice, and she's a bard, is being a bard a 'good' profession?'
