Guys, he does not have a party. He is a SOLO SORC!
Tom, what spells you have? Does Mirror Image protect from demon's hold?

SixOfSpades and Alson were just discussing how to improve SoS's site. As for Mirror Image... it will help.

Actually, Dundee, the +1 or better Blunt weapon isn't necessary: Get rid of the Clay Golem by luring it into the Reflecting Pool room with a Valygar or a Thief. If a newbie is dumb enough to walk right into an obviously alien Sphere without a Thief, that's their own damn fault, and Valygar does come as something of a "Package deal." (And if he's alive, he can kill the Clay boy himself.)
On a similar note, it might just be possible to move the Iron/Adamantine Golems out of the way by using Boots of Speed and some Invisibility Potions. Nearly suicidal, yes, but possible. But no, we haven't forgotten that we're dealing with a low-level Solo Sorcerer here. Tactics to get a Demon Heart without getting killed:

![]() A gamesaving strategy: before you head off to a new map area, manually save your game. (Find the save button and name your save.) That way, you can revert back to it just in case something bad happens. If you need to back the game up just a tiny bit once you're in that area, Auto-Save and Quicksave will take care of that for you. (I tend to use my Quicksave during what my father calls "Clint Eastwood moments," i.e., "It's quiet. Too quiet. Better save the game.") If you want to get ready for another solo run, why not play with a reduced party first? Try your sorcerer character again, but this time take along a thief (Imoen, Yoshimo, Nalia, or Jan) and a sturdy fighter (Minsc, Keldorn, Anomen, Mazzy in a pinch.) Or, you can cut that down even more and just take Anomen along. His Find Traps priest spell won't disarm them, but you can get to know the general location of the traps and what defensive spells will absorb them...
