Play BG1, youll learn to *really* appreciate that extra pell per level.

And you dont miss out on any schools if you take more than one mage. I woudnt leave home without a mage/cleric these days, cept there arent any in BG1 AFAIK.

Dont know about BG1, but he's Cleric/Mage in BG2.
