Currently I'm enjoying life without my family or the servants in the house ( I sent them all to holidays ). Ahhh...I got the entire house all to myself. I don't know what kind it is, but I know anything at all in the "parrot" family needs either a LOT of human attention AND toys to play with, etc. OR another bird.

I'm sure song bird types are similar in that they get lonely, too.

Lonely? He gets attention, there's always someone in the room with him, but from what I can understand, Maccaws are constantly hungry and we can't always feed him. Could be it or maybe he's insane, either or.

Hmmm...if you'd like (and you haven't already), I can hook you up with some really good websites on the care, feeding *and* mental health of parrots.

Some people get the birds because they are smart and very pretty, but don't *truly* understand what they need to be happy.
