Stormy, I was saying some cuts were in order in the 90's (post-Reagan), but not as many as Clinton made. Now... well, I don't know how we sit militarily now. But, I do know it cost $80 billion to run the Iraq war. Likely we are fine on military vehicles (tanks and planes) but what we need are veteran men to man them.

I agree with you about the cut, but lets recall that Reagan and Bush built up the military and strained the soviets to the breaking point, ending the Cold War...I think the investment was worth it....so yeah cuts afterward make sense....but you shouldn't gut the forces.
