I'm almost sure Monks are forbidden to use staves...

I disagree.
Celestial Fury+5 and Sancuudoku just rocks or FoA and Crom Fayer...there are good axes in BG2. There are great axes in ToB.

I like axes in the game, but it also has a little to do with the fact I like to split wood for my Dad when I go home on vacation. Good Exercise as well!!

I love Bows. Long/Short ones. Why? Because I love the idea of snipers, and someone showering death from afar is just too much for me to miss.

Outside BG2; flails and staves.

Inside: Whatever suits my characters' personality and gets the job done. Faves would have to be; FoA, Cfury, Blackrazor, Kundane/Belm. Oh, and SotR.

I quite like the purifier blade... a single handed weapon with considerable magic resistance %.

Very nice if you are thinking ahead.

I agree. For some reason monks can not use ANY two-handed weapons. I always think of a staff wielder when I think of monks, don't you?

Oh, yeah! I like katanas, long swords, and the composite long bow. The equipment that every good knight should have! I also like the holy avenger. Not necessarily the one in the game, but just that weapon itself. I don't care about the power, but i think it fitting that a righteous knight can wield a weapon better than another person through divine assistance. And basically, that is what the holy avenger is. (also why its only in certain temples.)
