I really don't think you should make it require a really high reputation. I mean, even good-alinged characters don't get that high a lot of times (at least I don't). I think maybe around 13 reputation required. That makes it so that an evil person can't take advantage of it, but it's not an EXTEREMELY high reputation requirement. I also really like Rataxes latest modification ideas to make it a little bit less uber. =) I think it should either be a +4 or a +5.

GREAT idea Annatar! I really like the story and the stats seem good too. I don't have an item-making tool though, so I can't make it for you. Good luck with getting it finished! =)

I agree with Super...make the reputation requirment less, if any. I'd suggest around 11-13. Nice looking sword though! I could make it for you, but my stupid household only has internet on our Mac . I could make it for myself though! [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I just have a little question of my own for someone about IEEP...when you put the item description in, do you have to put in all the abilities etc. or does it do it automaticaly. Thanks! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Change the alignment requirements to chaotic good, rather than just "good" or lawful "good"-the maker didn't sound very law-abiding in the description!

Can't do that Kaltia, because it's a Kensai only blade; and kensai's cannot be of Choatic Alignment...

I'll keep you guys posted, I'm tweaking, adding, penalizing the blade right now so... I still have some things I must ponder about.

Ann, I'd gladly make that sword. But concerning the amount of time consumed by item-making (at least for me...), it is not very probable.
And the theoretical part should be finished before attempting to make it.

Is the blade for good or evil character? You say it was made with the help of darkest magic, and yet lord Ao made it usable only by good. What? Why?

Choose from this list:
-Self-heal once per day (I don't like the regeneration)
-Lowers your reputation while equipped (it is made by dark magic, imbued with blood of innocents)
-Immunity to fear
-Non-removable (A Kensai would rather cut his left testicle off than use another weapon anyway)
-Berserk (or only a chance of berserking; same as the Sword of B.)
-Aid while equipped
-Imunity to certain weapons (although I would cast this out)
-Shining purple blade (I think I know how I could make this)
-Enchantment +3
-THAC0 bonus +4
-Damage bonus +4

Thanks for the preposal Vedran, I will probaly take it; because I'm working on my skill to use IEEP.. so far no real luck (I can make a +10 enchanted weapon with a ac bonus of 10 and several BAM file's, but special abilities and colors won't work)

So the final stats of the sword will look like this (it's still open for discussion though)

Sortaghion +3: The Essence

STATISTICS:

Equipped Abilities:
- Aid
- gain one extra attack per round (I need this one Vedran!! [img]smile.gif[/img] )
- Immunity to fear
- Non-removable (good one [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img] )
- Heal twice a day. (caster only, can this be done?)
- -2 con, -1 Dex.
- Set slashing immunity to 50% (if total is higher then 50% it will be set to 50%, there for lowering it)

Combat Abilities:
- 10% of doing +12 magic damage (Wraith of the Death)
- 5% vorpal hit
THACO: +4 bonus
Damage: 1d10 +4 (hits as a +3 enchanted katana)
Damage Type: slashing
Weight: 12
Speed Factor: 0
Proficiency Type: Katana
Type: 1-handed
Requires:
- 12 Strength
- 12 Wisdom
- 12 Charisma
- 12 or higher Reputation
- level 13 Kensai class

Usable by:
Good alignment only
Kensais (Single - Dual Classed)

BAM file's

- Inventory (Imp. Hallowed Redeemer, purple looking blade.. rather excotic)
- Item Description pic (CSW1H34/CSW1H32, or one that fits the profile and picture.. )
- Blade (Shining Purple, this would make it look really great!)
- if possible (using 20 for hilt, give it a color that matches the story... dark red... dark purple... something like that)

About Lord Ao, I'm not familiar with the AD&D Gods/Deity's, I thought that was a deity of good and righteousness; my mistake, change it in a deity of good then (helm?)

It's not an evil blade Vedran, it stores the souls of the death relatives of Corsion; he imbued their souls within the blade so he can get there strength and determinations to revenge their cruel death. He's doing them a favor (something like that) - but on a long turn... they get destructive and evil due to the endless improsinment within the blade, feeding upon the wielder (-2 con, -1 dex), but due to their inferious hatered for everything that is within this plane; they feed the wielder with in-human powers.. granting him swiftness, aid, immunity to fear (the souls have no meaning for fear, they already experienced the worst of it's kind), and total healing - because the souls within the blade will not no revenge when the wielder is death.

Is this duable for you (time consuming and all?) Vedran, if not what will be canceled out to make it a not 2 much time consuming project?

Ann, I would do it, but I don't have too much experience and knowledge with IEEP, either. I don't know how to make some effects:

- gain one extra attack per round (never tried that, but heard it is tricky)
- Heal twice a day. (caster only, can this be done?) (Perhaps, we could copy the effect from Illmater's Amulet [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img] )
- 12 or higher Reputation
- level 13 (for these two, some kind of script should be made; and I don't know how to join a script to an item)
Kensais (Single - Dual Classed) (it's possible to make it usable by Kensais and dualed/multiclassed fighters; I don't know how to make it unusable for dualed berserkers and Wizard Slayers; a script is only solution here)
