Large images? As in big pics? Or title images?

What are you looking to use them for?

I'm looking for something that might go on the cover of a manual of some sort...
It's for some top secret project *cough* DC manuals *cough*, that I'm working on.

Hmm - sounds like a rather large project (the art, I mean)... What about size (pixels)? I guess the images are not for in-game, then?

That's correct. They're not for in-game.

I'm thinking that size-wise, they should be about half and 8 1/2 by 11 page.

I haven't thought about what I want exactly, b/c in some senses it doesn't matter, as long as the picture is appropriately themed. I only thought of it tonight b/c I am working on one of the manuals while doing my homework.

No pressure, by the way. I just thought I'd mention it in case you had something you might want to show off.

Wow - that is big! Hmm... Well, I will put it on the list, but it does seem like a lot of work... (and thus somewhat unlikely...)

How many pixels is a 8 1/2 x 11 page, anyway?

Lots... My default settings for Photoshop are 600 pixels per inch, but my printer does anything from 72 to 1200 per inch. So what is that, something like 5100x6600? Egads that's huge!
