I don't raid either - then again I'm only level 52. I've done a couple of instances, but I found them pretty frustrating - just a general lack of coordination. I enjoy pvp so much more - can't wait till I get to 55 so I can get back in and be competitive.

Are the pvp rewards from the BGs at the 58 bracket comparable to the raid rewards at similar level? What about Outland greens?

I think you've misunderstood what raid means.

Raid = 10 man , 25man, 40 man dungeons. The dungeon entrance has a green portal rather than the normal blue portal you see on a 5 man dungeon. You can only enter those dungeon if you are in a raid group.

I doubt that at your level you have done any raids.

From a rogue's perspective:
At 58 bracket, pvp gear > pve gear
At 60 bracket, raid gear > pvp gear > pve gear
If you have BC, Outland green/blue > pre bc raid gear > pre bc pvp gear > pre bc pve gear

At 70 however, this has drastically change.
For pveing, raid gear > pve gear > pvp gear
For pvping, pvp gear > raid gear > pve gear

Been to ZA a bit, it's fun. New badge rewards are awesome. Armory my offhand that I got for 35 badges to replace the offhand that Magtheridon drops. Between badge rewards, heroic dungeon loot, and pvp gear purple loot is flowing like water and raid gear is no longer omgawesomesauce.

I agree the loot is nuts now, as is the gold in general. With the heroics dailies and then the dungeon ones added too everyones rockin something. I've seen the badge vendor more than i've seen the repait lately.

I tried Gruuls once on my mage.. I failed hard.

In time i may raid, but that is unlikely because i cant commit to people i have never met before in my life.

I'm going for same offhand Timber, to replace Magtheridon's Kalaborian Talisman also.

Getting the new wand first, Shade of Aran never drops his spell hit wand, I don't want the black stalk, I'm currently using the S2 wand, but need 15 more badges to get the new badge wand. Its pretty nice.

Then i'll get the offhand.

But with new epics yeah I agree, got S3 helm, S1 shoulders and S1 gloves all in one day. And I hardly pvp

I like ZA. I like places where you can see the blue sky and the trees have green leaf.

Oh, the first boss pwned our tankers so hard. It's like a one hitter with that boss buff on the tank.
