I'm here now waiting to hand out candy...so far only one person has come by.

We do not get many people down this road because most people who trick-or-treat in this area of Winston are white, but my street is predominately black...so I don't lose too much money since not that many people come down this way.

I have a cauldron on the poarch filled with water and some dry ice in it, making the poarch look all smokey and stuff. I think it looks cool.

The kids are out right now with my wife, doing their rounds and I cannot wait to see what they bring back for ME.

My dad brought my son a new toy for his birthday, called the Amazing Zultan. It comes with a wireless mic so that you can talk from a distance and broadcast your voice... the perfect thing to put on a dark porch on Halloween night!

I tried not to scare the real little kids, but managed to get a couple of pre-teens and teenagers muttering "that's not cool" when I opened the door

Kids got a lot of loot, we had fires inside and out, and went through most of the candy we had picked up. Fortunately, all that's left is stuff I like...

Next year... I'm stealing Larry's cauldron idea. That will be a perfect thing... put Zultan's head above the smoky cauldron...

I too, like Dragonshadow was just going to be evading the eggs, but there didn't seem to be many out this year.. I walked blocks and blocks just to have a look around - I saw no more than ten people. I really felt sorry for the people that would be left with mountains of candy by their front door.

It took me totally by surprise last night when i answered the door to 10 or so little kids playing trick or treat. It was the first time i've ever been asked. I didn't have a single sweet in the whole house but i didn't want to disappoint them (nor see what kind of tricks they had in mind) so i gave them 6 dollars in change and told them to share. I think they were happy.
