Well, use the opportunity to add in Sussudio and 99 Luftballons, which should CERTAINLY have made the list!
I posted a few that I could answer elsewhere, so I leave it to Cerek to incorporate the answers to his querry. |

99 Luftballoons is certainly worth inclusion - since it was the only foreign language song to ever hit #1 during the 80's (to the best of my knowledge, anyway).

Well, nothing like putting your work in front of the public to find your mistakes. I accidentally listed two songs twice (Eyes Without a Face & She's a Beauty). I listed song title twice, but was thinking of two different songs. The title is "Hold Me Now" and Davros correctly guessed the first entry was by the Thompson Twins. The second entry has the phrase "hold me now" in the refrain, but it is NOT the title of the song. EEEF! So here is a revised list with new additions or changes.
001 Turn Me Loose - Loverboy 002 Come On Eileen - Dexy Midnight Runners 003 Der Kommisar - After the Fire (with Falco as lead singer) 004 Your Love - The Outfield 005 Final Countdown - Europe 006 Heat of the Moment - Asia 007 True - Spandau Ballet 008 Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes 009 Walking On Sunshine - Katrina and the Waves 010 Total Eclipse of the Heart - Bonnie Tyler 011 Church of the Poison Mind - Boy George/Culture Club 012 Human Nature - Michael Jackson 013 867-5309/Jenny - Tommy Tutone 014 Too Shy To Shy - Kajagoogoo 015 I Ran - Flock of Seagulls 016 Whisper to a Scream 017 Freeze Frame - J. (Yes, it was. Actually, I think they "merged" two different songs into one) 040 Relax (Don't Do It..) - Frankie Goes to Hollywood 041 Rock and Roll Heart 042 Heart of Rock and Roll - Huey Lewis and the News 043 Rock This Town - Stray Cats 044 Human Touch - Rick Springfield 045 Our House - Madness 046 Obsession - Animotion 047 Cars - Gary Neuman 048 Sister Christian - Night Ranger 049 Abracadabra - Steve Miller Band 050 Melt With You - Modern English 051 Don't You Forget About Me - Simple Minds 052 No More Words - Berlin 053 You Make My Dreams Come True 054 Need You Tonight - INXS 055 Some Like It Hot - Power Station 056 Here I Go Again - Whitesnake 057 Once Bitten Twice Shy - Great White 058 Round and Round - Ratt 059 Cherry Pie - Warrant 060 Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone) - Cinderalla 061 Don't Need Nothin' (But A Good Time) - Poison 062 Wild, Wild West 063 My Best Friends Girl - The Cars 064 Get Out Of My Dreams (and Into My Car) - Billy Ocean 065 All Night Long - Lionel Ritchie 066 Bed's Are Burning - Midnight Oil 067 She's A Beauty - The Tubes 068 Land of Confusion - Genesis 069 Tuff Enuff 070 I'm So Excited - Pointer Sisters 071 Everybody Wants You - Billy Squier 072 Hold Me Now - Thompson Twins 073 Promises, Promises - Naked Eyes 074 Roseanna - Toto 075 Video Killed The Radio Star - LOL - The Buggles 076 Hard For Me to Say I'm Sorry (corrected title) - Chicago 077 Eye Of The Tiger - Survivor 078 Conga - Miami Sound Machine 079 She Drives Me Crazy- Fine Young Cannibals 080 Rock Me Amadeus - Falco 081 Here Comes The Rain Again - Eurythmics 082 The Way It Is - Bruce Horsnby and the Range (I despise this song. Davros, shadowhound and Grojlach - you are all correct. Your answers have been added to the revised list above.
Variol - sorry dude, never heard of those guys. If they did a cover of the song, it isn't the one I'm thinking of. [ 03-09-2005, 10:10 AM: Message edited by: Cerek ]
