Well, use the opportunity to add in Sussudio and 99 Luftballons, which should CERTAINLY have made the list!

I posted a few that I could answer elsewhere, so I leave it to Cerek to incorporate the answers to his querry.

I'll see that Sussudio and raise you a Sledgehammer, TL Okay, not the same person, but the same... origin?

And I've got the other one too... Now, Everyone Need Ask for it, and I've already told you.

I already have a song by Phil Collins on the list. That one and Sussidio are probably my two favorites by him.

99 Luftballoons is certainly worth inclusion - since it was the only foreign language song to ever hit #1 during the 80's (to the best of my knowledge, anyway).

Well, nothing like putting your work in front of the public to find your mistakes. I accidentally listed two songs twice (Eyes Without a Face & She's a Beauty). I listed song title twice, but was thinking of two different songs. The title is "Hold Me Now" and Davros correctly guessed the first entry was by the Thompson Twins. The second entry has the phrase "hold me now" in the refrain, but it is NOT the title of the song. EEEF! So here is a revised list with new additions or changes.

001 Turn Me Loose - Loverboy
002 Come On Eileen - Dexy Midnight Runners
003 Der Kommisar - After the Fire (with Falco as lead singer)
004 Your Love - The Outfield
005 Final Countdown - Europe
006 Heat of the Moment - Asia
007 True - Spandau Ballet
008 Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes
009 Walking On Sunshine - Katrina and the Waves

019 Freeway of Love - Aretha Franklin
020 Maniac - Michael Sembello
021 That's All - Phil Collins
022 Walk of Life - Dire Straits
023 Hungry Like A Wolf - Duran Duran
024 The Safety Dance - Men without Hats
025 Dr. Hekyll and Mr. Jive - Men At Work (shame on you for not knowing this one Davros )
026 Broken Wings - Mister Mister
027 We Got the Beat - Go Go's
028 Dancing in the Dark - Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen
029 Holiday - Madonna

036 Dirty White Boys - Foreigner
037 Everybody Have Fun Tonight - Wang Chung
038 One Thing Leads To Another - The Fixx
039 Tainted Love - Soft Cell (but I think this was a cover of someone elses work wasn't it? (Yes, it was. Actually, I think they "merged" two different songs into one)
040 Relax (Don't Do It..) - Frankie Goes to Hollywood
041 Rock and Roll Heart
042 Heart of Rock and Roll - Huey Lewis and the News
043 Rock This Town - Stray Cats

Davros, shadowhound and Grojlach - you are all correct. Your answers have been added to the revised list above.

Variol - sorry dude, never heard of those guys. If they did a cover of the song, it isn't the one I'm thinking of.
