I guess i should shed some light on this. Ok I am NOT spamming, and I have gone through BG1, ToSC, BG2 SoA and beaten ToB with the same character. It's the fact that the Topic says its a big spoiler and im just spoiling the begining of the game, thats whats funny. Thank you byebye.

It's not funny, it's a pain in the posterior - I hate that dungeon.

I wholeheartedly agree. That damn dungeon sucks as a way to start the game. What I really hate also is the fact that you bust your ass getting a whole bunch of cool ass items in BG1 and ToSC only to end up losing em all. What a waste. Oh well, better stuff in BG2, but still nice to start with what you finished with last time.

Like someone posted before, as soon as the game starts, press I to go to inventory. Then drop all the items you have on you on the ground. Then when the game moves on, BG2 destroys all items you have on you but you'll already have'em on the ground. I just dont know wether its the cutscene before Irenicus beats you up, or before imoen walks in or even after that. I didnt do it myself, cuz i didnt play BG1 before. Just try, you'll figure it out.

I have heard that someone is working on a "program" that skips the starting dungeon while at the same time gives you all the items and experience you receive there.

You can always make a multi player save that starts right outside of it and whenever you start a new character you just open that save and put him as the main in the place of the old one and then make a new save with him so you can do the same thing for another character.

I've tried it, you have to do it before anything else happens when it goes black after finishing your character, before Irenicus shows up the first time to blast you. It's nice having a cavalier with boots of speed and Spidersbane with full plate to start the game, I started with around a -5 AC in the dungeon, my cavalier didn't need any help taking out the dungeon on his own, but I kept the other NPC's because I'm a nice guy and oculdn't leave them like that.

I like Games where you start in a nice, friendly place that lets you build up before starting. That dungeon is pretty tough for not so good people, but my lvl 7 fighter made it through my himself.

THAT was a dungeon?! *blinks in disbeleif* a dungeon? I thought it was a nice freindly little place, with, er... nyphs, and dryads that run around and jump in circles. I never would have thought it was a dungeon, not with all those poor touchered souls in glass bottles, and 'pickled men', oh no, it CANT be a dungeon. and besides, the nice man who is your host greets you, and wakes you up from your nap. hes such a nice guy, and those *wonderful* talks, those lectures. it was great fun!

ok im gonna stop teh sarcasim now, im almost dripping with it...
