Right now we are at liberation stage - it is where we go from here that defines whether the term 'liberation' remains applicable.

With regards to the legality of what the US is planning, I honestly couldn't say. In terms of political expediency though, I believe that it will damage the long term stability of the Middle Eastern region and the security of the United States.

But who knows, maybe it will all work out in the end? I would be very happy if my predictions turned out to be false.
