All of my teachers have been extremely liberal and their teaching has been outrageously biased. It's time to either shut up and teach objectively, or show the other side. My high school government teacher made us read articles from Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn, but we never got the other side.

trau - although i suspect we may disagree on where we sit along that spectrum, i do agree with you on that point. in exploring my own beliefs, i've picked up everything from mein kampf, to marx's communest manifesto, to paine's age of reason, to today's chomsky, michael moore

i was fortunate enough to have a political science teacher in 12th year (high school) who had the audacity to want to show us the scope of social thinking available and dare us to find the one that we could call our own. it was on the back of his inspiration that i've continued to explore that thinking til this day (and will continue to do so - not like i'm stopping here and now! [img]tongue.gif[/img] )
