Out of all those games, the only series I really loved is the Street Fighter one.

Street Fighter II was soo good back then.

Street Fighter 2 is definately older than Mortal Kombat.

I'm honestly surprised at all the Mortal Kombat fans. I've never held much love for the games, actually. Not much depth to them, at all. It relied so much on the gore factor, which was really just a novelty, IMO.

Tell me about it! The amount of quarters my buddies and I poured into Street Fighter 2 at the arcade would probably buy me a car now a days!

Street Fighter is more the nice reminiscant game, but Tekken beats it hands-down.

I remember my sisters boyfriend coming along in the weekend and bringing along the sega megadrive and Street Fighter II Championshiip Edition, just to keep me from running amok. Back when I was a snotty little brat

Seriously, if you like variety in your characters (which, ironically enough, I found to be the weakest point in the MK series. How many ninjas do you need?!) PLEASE, GO CHECK OUT GUILTY GEAR X2.

Just as a few examples.

I chose the mortal kombat series, but I like DBZ Hyperdimension as well, although I haven't played that in ages now
